Role Purpose(s)

The purpose of the role is to provide End User Support / Desktop Management / User Account Management / AV Equipment Support / Corporate Applications & Productivity tools support as Level 1 / 2 Engineer

Key Accountabilities

• As a Level 1 / Level 2 Support Engineer, this role needs to perform the assigned duties to meet the SLA of IT Operations

Job Responsibilities & Duties

• Design, plan, deploy, support and upgrade/migrate of the following technologies:
• Routers, Switches, and firewalls
• WLC and WAP infrastructure
• IPS/NIPS
• Authentication services such as Radius and Takacs
• Load balancers
• Security appliances
• MPLS, BGP, SD-WAN
• Establish networking environment by designing network configuration; directing network installation; defining, documenting, and enforcing system standards.
• Develop implementation plan and issue planning notices to initiate network builds.
• Effective communication and co-ordination with other groups to ensure on time delivery of services.
• Evaluates, recommends and plans for acquisition/upgrade/ migration of all utility software and hardware to ensure high availability and optimal use of network.
• Recommends project approach and network technology/tools to be used.
• Develop and plan and co-ordinate for preventive maintenance of network / security related equipment.
• Troubleshooting and analytical skills
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex network related fault.
• Supports internal and external audit exercises for the maintenance of various certifications and contractual requirements.
• Understands the interdependencies of the services (application, system, network and database) and is able to pin-point problem area accurately to improve overall efficiency.
• Regular projects reporting update to project SDMs.

Education Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree/Diploma in Computer Science or related discipline

Working Experience Requirements

• Experienced in firewalls/IPS/IDS/LB/Monitoring tools

Skills Required

• Certification CCNP is mandatory
• ITIL v4 and cloud certifications are highly preferred
• Must be able to work in 24 x 7 operations support environment
• Preferably have the relevant product professional certification accorded by the product principal for recognition of attaining the knowledge and skills required to operate the proposed NIS products (firewall, IPS, load balancers);
• Possess good analytical and trouble-shooting skills in the area of technical fault isolation and rectification.
• Passionate, self-driven lead engineer and a good team player.
